Abstract:Abstract:Offloading computation-intensive modules of mobile applications to the cloud has become a popular way to improve the application performance in mobile cloud computing area. Recently, it has become a research hotspot to design algorithms for acquiring the computation offloading scheme of mobile applications under various environments. However, the existing works have not yet received sufficient attention on the parallel characteristics among the distributed execution modules after the partial computation offloading of mobile applications. In this paper, we firstly discuss the features of modules which can be executed concurrently in mobile applications. Secondly, we propose the solutions to determine the execution site of the application modules and devise the sequence of data transmission. Lastly, efficient greedy algorithm has been proposed to promote the application performance under the real-time decision-making requirements. The simulation has proved that the proposed algorithm could reduce 5% response time compared with the common formula of data transmission including fair completion and FCFS.
