Resource Constrained Periodic Task Low Power Scheduling Algorithm

Abstract:A resource constrained periodic task low power scheduling (RCPTLPSA) algorithm which focuses on the resource constrained periodic task model is proposed.It not only considers the general power model,but also considers that the execution time of the task does not scale lineally with the processor speed.In addition,it can use the dynamic voltage scaling technique and the dynamic power management technique to reduce the system energy consumption.The necessary condition of the RCPTLPSA algorithm is given and the experiment is carried out to verify the performance of the RCPTLPSA algorithm.The experimental results show that the RCPTLPSA algorithm can reduce the energy consumption by 55.37% over the existing algorithm.
